KEA Karnataka Ayush Counselling Registration Process related issues

I have registered for KEA Karnataka AYUSH Counselling but not able to download verification slip. How can I download verification slip?

Verification slip is issued by KEA only for those students who have completed their documents verification for Karnataka NEET Counselling process. Further, there are 3 ways documents verification is done by KEA depending upon candidate category, clause and time of registration (KCET or KEA NEET Ug).

Registered for KEA Karnataka AYUSH Counselling but I missed to link my NEET scores

All KCET registered candidate has to update their NEET Score and All India Rank in their application to participate in KEA Karnataka NEET Medical and AYUSH Counselling process. Candidate can update their neet score online on KEA official website within the set time line (Before commencement of option entry) or have to personally visit KEA if you have missed the deadline.

Registered for KEA Karnataka AYUSH Counselling but not able to do option entryz

Separate option entry link is released by KEA on its official portal. Candidate are required to login to option entry dashboard using CET number, Option entry application number, secret key which is mentioned in the verification slip. If you are unable to login to option entry dashboard, then you can try resetting the password.

Registered but missed the option entry for first round.

If a candidate missed the first round of option entry, they will not be permitted to choose colleges that were already available for selection in the first round of Karnataka Ayush counseling. However, According to the KEA guidelines, candidates can only select colleges that have been newly announced or added during the second round of counseling.

Further, if a candidate participates in the second round of counseling but does not receive an allotted seat, they can still participate in the mop-up round and choose available seats under the All India Quota, Other Quota, and NRI Quota across all available colleges.

Registered but getting an error as name miss match

Candidates who have registered for the KEA KCET counseling process or students who have entered their full names as per their Class 10th marks card may encounter a name mismatch issue. If the name on their NEET scorecard and 10th marks card is in a different order, they will need to approach KEA and submit a correction application to rectify the name as per the NEET scorecard in the KEA Karnataka Ayush counseling application form.

Registered but document is not verified hence unable to download verification slip

Document verification is a crucial step in the Karnataka Ayush counseling process. Only candidates who have verified their documents either online or offline will receive a verification slip before the commencement of the counseling rounds. If a candidate has not received a verification slip before the start of the counseling, they can approach KA to resolve the issue.

Candidates are advised to upload a clear scanned copy of their documents if the verification process is online to avoid this issue. If candidates are required to visit the KEA office in Bangalore physically, then they are advised to bring a set of all original documents along with two sets of photocopies.

Registered but have done mistake in KEA application like selected wrong clause, 12th marks, name miss match etc

Unlike other state NEET counseling processes, KEA does not have a specific option or event where they open a form correction window. However, if a candidate has made any mistakes or errors in the Karnataka Ayush counseling application during registration, they can visit the KEA office in Bangalore personally to have the issues corrected well in advance before the commencement of document verification and counseling rounds.

Which college can I get based on my NEET score? What is the cutoff for BAMS in Karnataka?

Based on the Karnataka Ayush counseling mock allotment results released by KEA on August 27th, the following are the NEET cutoffs for the BAMS course under various seat categories:

  • All India Quota cutoff rank: 69716
  • Other Quota cutoff rank: 448953
  • NRI Quota cutoff rank: 1362987

What fees category colleges will I get as per my NEET score? Can I get AIQ seat as per my score?

To determine the fees category colleges you can get based on your NEET score check previous year cutoffs. Analyze the NEET cutoffs for previous years to get an idea of the scores required for different colleges and categories.

Can I get the college preference list for BAMS option entry?

There no standard format for college preference list. Preparing a college preference list for option entry in Karnataka Ayush Counselling is complex process but with the help of a mentor you can prepare your college option entry list.

In general college preference list is prepared based on below factors by professional counsellors for BAMS admission in Karnataka.

  • Candidate’s fees budget and fees category preference (AIQ, Management Quota, NRI Quota)
  • Preference of college location by candidate
  • Selected / Shortlisted colleges available seat matrix
  • Shortlisted Ayurveda colleges NEET Cutoff in previous rounds or last year overall cutoff
  • Overall ranking, and reputation of the shortlisted colleges
  • Candidate’s NEET Score / AIR

Can I select AIQ and Management quota seats together during option entry?

Yes, you can select All India Quota and Other Quota seats together for the same colleges during your option entry in the first round of Ayush counseling conducted by Karnataka. Candidates are advised to carefully prepare their preference list and include all preferred colleges along with their preferred fee categories (All India Quota and Other Quota) in the first round itself. This is because they will not have the opportunity to add more colleges in the second round that were available in the first round of option entry.

What is the seat upgradation process and how does it work?

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in the first round of Karnataka Ayush counseling and want to retain their current seat while trying to secure a seat in a better college option can opt for seat upgradation. To initiate the seat upgradation process, candidates need to select their choice after seeing the allotment and make a payment to hold the allotted seat in Round 1.

In Round 2, candidates will be allowed to make changes to the preference order of the colleges they have added above their allotted seat. If a candidate is allotted a better seat in the second round, they can proceed with the allotment in the preferred college option. If not, they will continue to retain the seat allotted in the first round of counseling.

What if I do not get the seat in 1st round? What can I do next?

Candidates are advised to add maximum number of colleges with desired fees category quota seats during 1st round of Karnataka AYUSH counselling process. Further, candidates are also advised to add only those colleges and fees category option where they are ready to take admission if seat is allotted.

In case, if the candidate have not been allotted the seat in 1st round of Ayush counselling conducted by KEA Karnataka. Then, the same options will be considered automatically in 2nd round. In 2nd round candidates can re arrange the order or delete colleges as per their preference and can participate in second round, mop up round or last round of counselling if the seat is not allotted.

Further during mop up round, candidates are advised you study available seat matrix list of participating BAMS colleges in Karnataka Ayush counselling mop up round. Further, they can consider adding more colleges’ options based on their preference and college cutoff of last round to improve the chances of seat allotment.

If I don’t get AIQ seats can I get direct admission through Management quota?

If you don’t get AIQ seat under Karnataka NEET Ayush counselling then you can still opt for management quota seats. However, candidate’s will be only allowed to add more options from available colleges in round 1 or add the other quota seats (If they have not opted for Other quota seats during 1st round.)

For admission in BAMS colleges in Karnataka under management quota, candidate needs to opt for “Other quota” seats in the desired colleges in the very first round of option entry below the “AIQ seats”.

This strategy will improve the seat allotment chances of candidate during 1st or 2nd round of AYUSH Counselling in candidate’s desired colleges based on their NEET score and selected fees category seats.

If I go for AIQ in first round and don’t get the seat, can I add other / mgmt. quota seats in next round?

No, you can not. As per the KEA guidelines all candidates who are participating in Karnataka NEET counselling for Medical and AYUSH courses seat allotment process have to enter all the colleges and fees category quota preference for courses interested for seat allotment. Further, after completion of option entry process of 1st round candidate are not allowed to add any of the 1st round available colleges or fees quota seats in 2nd round.

Candidate’s can only add those colleges which are freshly added in the second round of Karnataka Ayush Counselling seat allotment.

Can I get a seat in specific colleges as per my NEET score?

Yes you can. However, seat allotment in particular college is possible if candidate is fullfilling certain requirements.

Candidate with a low NEET score also have a good chances for seat allotment if they are willing to opt for Other quota & NRI quota seats. However, even for seat allotment under other quota or NRI quota seats candidates are expected to have decent score.

For seat allotment in top ayurvedic medical colleges in Karnataka candidates are expected to have NEET AIR within 400000.

Do we need to book the seat or do we need to apply via counselling?

Latest guidelines mentioned in the official notification by NCISM, Ministry of AYUSH clearly states that “All admission under all quota in any Govt, Semi Govt, Private colleges or Deemed Universities will be only through the AYUSH counselling process conducted by State / UT.

This means for BAMS admission in any state or college, candidate needs to apply and participate in AYUSH Counselling process.

Further, let us clear your seat booking related query. Yes, you can book the seat. If your NEET score is low, you know that you have very very less chances of seat allotment under AIQ or Other quota in specific colleges of your choice. However, if that college is willing to offer you the fees discount under other quota or NRI quota seat upon the allotment of BAMS seat through KEA Karnataka AYUSH counselling then you can opt for seat booking.

Seat booking is done for the discount in overall tuition fees and it does not mean that your BASM admission is confirmed in that respective college.

Can I participate in Medical and AYUSH counselling together?

Yes, as per the NEET Ug counselling schedule released by KEA, for the academic year 2024 candidates who have registered for KEA Karnataka NEET Ug Counselling have to exercise option entry for colleges preference for MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses to gather.

However, in other states candidate have to register and participate for Medical (for MBBS & BDS) and AYUSH counselling separately.

I have been allotted a seat in Karnataka AYUSH counselling but I am not satisfied with the college, what can I do to join other college?

After the seat allotment in 1st round candidate have an option to reject the allotted seat and participate in round 2. Candidate will be only allowed to re order the already entered options except the allotted college option. Further, candidate will have to pay the caution deposit of Rs.1,00,000/- (One Lakh only) to become eligible to participate in 2nd round.

Candidates are advised to give only such options, if the seat is allotted, they have to compulsorily join the selected college in the Second Round seat allotment without giving any reasons /excuses, failing which the caution deposit will be forfeited.

Will there be any penalty if don’t join the college which is allotted to me?

If candidate wish to cancel the allotted seat in round 1, then he/she can do so by exercising choice 1 after seat allotment and surrender the allotted seat without any penalty.

However, if candidate will not be eligible to participate in further NEET counselling process.

If a candidate who has been allotted a seat in any discipline in the First Round of AYUSH counselling and who has reported to the college, wishes to surrenders / cancel the seat before the last date notified for options entry for the Second Round, KEA shall deduct Rs.5,000/- as processing fee and Rs.5,000/- penalty and refund the remaining fee paid.

If a candidate who has been allotted a seat in any discipline in the First Round/ Second Roundand who has reported to the college or not, surrenders the seat after the completion of Second Round, the KEA shall forfeit the entire fee paid including Rs.5,000/- as processing fee and Rs.5,000/- penalty.

What is the fees for BAMS in Karnataka?

There are 4 types or fees category seats in private BAMS colleges in Karnataka. State quota seats is reserved for Karnataka domicile students only and rest 3 are open for all the eligible students who are participating in Karnataka Ayush counselling seat allotment process.

Below is the yearly fees structure of BAMS colleges in Karnataka.

  • State Quota Seats: Rs 75750
  • AIQ Quota Seats: Rs 250750
  • OTHER Quota Seats: Rs 400750
  • NRI Quota Seats: Rs 600750

Is there any miscellaneous fees apart from tuition fees for BAMS?

Yes, Colleges shall charge miscellaneous fees apart from tuition fees for BAMS course in Karnataka. These fees can vary from college to college and may include examination fees, university eligibility fees, library fees, laboratory fees

Candidates are advised t0 check with the specific college which they are interested in for the exact breakdown of miscellaneous fees before.

What are the hostel and food charges?

Hostel accommodation and food charges are decided by the respective college management. In general you can expect hostel and food charges to be around 80000 per annum approximately. Further, hostel fees could also vary based on the other factors such as 2 sharing, 3 sharing or 4 sharing rooms, and other facilities provided by the college.

What are the payment terms for BAMS fees in Ayurvedic medical colleges in Karnataka? Can we pay the fees in an installments?

BAMS course duration is of 5.5 years (including 1 year internship). Students are required to pay the tuition fees for 4.5 years. All seats are allotted by AYUSH counselling process as per the norms of Ministry of AYUSH.

In Karnataka state, after the seat allotment by KEA, candidate must pay 1st year full fees via NEFT / RTGS mode after downloading payment challan issued by KEA. First year fees has to be paid immediately after the seat allotment (within 4-5 days) as per the given time line by KEA under AYUSH counselling process.

However, from the second year onwards, candidates can approach the college management and request for the installment option to pay the fees.

Will I get education loan for the tuition fees? How much education loan will I get?

Yes, you can apply for an education loan for BAMS professional course. To avail the education loan candidate would require admission letter / seat allotment letter, bonafied certificate, and study expense letter from the joined college.

The amount which you can avail from the bank towards education loan totally depends on your overall background and subjected to respective banks loan related terms and conditions. Candidates are advised to get in touch with respective banks loan department to know the complete details well in advance.

How to pay the fees after seat allotment? How to download fees payment challan?

After the declaration of seat allotment results by KEA, candidate can login to the official kea portal and exercise the post allotment choices. Payment challan can be downloaded from kea website after opting for choice 1 or choice 2 after seat allotment.

I am not able to download fees payment challan. What should I do?

If you’re unable to download the fees payment challan, there could be some possible technical issue. Reach out to the KEA helpline for assistance. They can provide guidance on how to download the challan or troubleshoot any technical problems. Candidates who are living in Bangalore can Visit KEA office in person for faster resolution.

How do I make the fees payment after seat allotment? Can I do it online or do I need to pay the fees at college?

Under Karnataka AYUSH Counselling process conducted by KEA, you are required to make the fees payment using the payment challan issued by KEA. Fees has to be paid through NEFT / RTGS mode via visiting the bank.

How to download allotment letter? How can I get the allotment letter after seat allotment?

Allotment letter will be issued by KEA to all those candidate who have made the fee payment using the payment challan issued in the candidate Ayush counselling dashboard.

Once the fees is paid by candidate, KEA will verify the transaction from the bank. After the successful verification of the payment receipt, allotment letter link will be activated for the download.

I am not able to download payment challan / allotment letter (because I don’t have the password / not able to reset the password / not able to update mobile number)

Candidate have to reach out to KEA to reset the password of their NEET counselling login dash board if they are not able to update / reset the password.

What if I get the seat in my home state / other state after getting a seat in Karnataka?

Can I cancel my seat later if I get the seat in my home town?

Yes, you can generally cancel your seat later if you get a seat in your hometown. However, there are a few important points to consider which are mentioned by KEA under their AYUSH counselling process for BAMS admission in Karnataka.

  • Cancellation Deadline: Each counseling authority sets a specific deadline for seat cancellation. If you cancel your seat after the deadline, you may face penalties or lose your chance to participate in subsequent rounds.
  • Refund Policy: The refund policy for seat cancellation can vary. Some counseling authorities may deduct a certain amount as a cancellation fee. It’s essential to check the counseling guidelines for the specific refund policy.
  • Impact on Future Rounds: If you cancel your seat, you will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of counseling.

What is the penalty for seat cancellation?

Penalty against seat cancellation depends on the time when candidate is cancelling the seat.

Before Second Round: If you cancel your seat before the second round options are open, you’ll lose Rs. 10,000 (Rs. 5,000 processing fee + Rs. 5,000 penalty) and get a partial refund.

After Second Round: If you cancel your seat after the second round, you’ll lose the entire amount you paid.

No Exemptions: There are no exceptions to the penalty, regardless of your category.

No Cancellations After Mop-up: You cannot cancel your seat after the mop-up round.

Failure to Join College: If you don’t join your allotted college even after the extended second round, you’ll lose the entire paid fees.

How can I get the refund of excess fees paid to KEA?

KEA shall release the refund link after the completion of Karnataka AYUSH counselling. Candidate who are eligible for refund have to update their Bank details in the online portal. Generally refund amount is processed within 2 months from the completion of AYUSH counselling process.

What documents are needed while reporting to the college?

Below is the list of the common documents you are required to submit during college reporting.

  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card of the candidate
  • 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate
  • Candidate’s Study Certificate
  • Cast certficate (If applicable)
  • Class 12th leaving / transfer certificate.
  • NEET Ug admit card / hall ticket
  • NEET Ug score card
  • Fees payment challan (with seal and sign fron bank)
  • Seat allotment letter

Apart from above listed documents, candidate may have to produce other documents based on the category and seat quota claimed. How can I get migration certificate?

Migration certificate is issued by your respective 12th board authority. Migration certificate is issued to the students who wish to study in other state after completing the 12th in home state. To apply for migration certificate, you can visit 12th board official website or contact the higher secondary board office in person.

Can I submit some of the missing certificate later?

Candidates are advised to contact allotted college immediately if some of the documents are not available. Generally college will give extension to submit the missing documents such as migration certificate or leaving certificate. However, candidates will not be given any extension to submit their class 10th, 12th marks card, allotment letter or related documents without which college reporting process cannot be completed.

How can I get the refund of excess fees paid to KEA?

KEA shall release the refund link after the completion of Karnataka AYUSH counselling. Candidate who are eligible for refund have to update their Bank details in the online portal. Generally refund amount is processed within 2 months from the completion of AYUSH counselling process.
