Overview

JEE Advanced is conducted every year by one of the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Admissions to Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programmes (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the 23 IITs, including the Indian School of Mines (ISM) are done based on ranks obtained by candidates in JEE Advanced.

Exam Pattern

The JEE Advanced 2020 was conducted as two papers in two sessions. Paper-1 was conducted from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm while paper-2 will be was conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates have to register themselves online for the computer-based entrance test. The two papers based on a predefined JEE Advanced syllabus released by the conducting authorities were mandatory for all the aspirants.

The JEE Advanced 2020 admit cards were released by the IIT Delhi on September 21 and the last date to download the same will September 27. Admissions to the IITs will be through the counselling conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) based on ranks obtained by candidates in JEE Advanced.

Candidates who have cleared JEE Main will be able to apply for JEE Advanced for admission to the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) in India. It may be noted that only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main qualifiers will only be eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced. However, the total number of candidates may be a bit higher than 2.5 because of ‘tied’ ranks/scores in each category.

Syllabus

The exam conducting body releases syllabus of JEE Advanced every year. More or less, the syllabus is usually the same. There had been a buzz for a reduction in syllabus but IIT Delhi claimed that no such consideration will be made in future JAB meetings, and syllabus is going to remain the same. Students appearing for the exam can refer NCERT textbooks for class 11 and 12 for the exam syllabus.

Application Form

JEE Advanced Application Form 2021– IIT Kharagpur will release the application form of JEE Advanced 2021 in online mode. JEE Advanced 2021 application form link will be released on the official website – jeeadv.ac.in. The tentative JEE Advanced apply online date will fall in the month of May 2021. Only candidates who get a rank among the top 2,50,000 JEE Main 2021 qualifiers will be eligible to fill the JEE Advanced application form 2021. The JEE Advanced registration 2021 process will consist of three simple steps – filling registration form, uploading documents, and payment of registration fee. Candidates will have to use their JEE Main 2021 login id and password.

Admit Card

JEE Advanced Admit Card 2021- IIT Kharagpur will release the JEE Advanced 2021 admit card at jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates will be able to download their admit card of JEE Advanced 2021 by logging in to the candidate portal using registration number, date of birth and mobile number. JEE Advanced admit card 2021 will include details of the exam date, time, exam centre address along with the basic details of the candidates like name, date of birth, category, roll number, etc. It must be noted that JEE Advanced admit card 2021 will only be released for the candidates who successfully registered for the exam before the last date. Candidates must download their JEE Advanced 2021 admit card and keep it safely. No candidate will be allowed to enter the JEE Advanced exam centres without a valid admit card of JEE Advanced 2021. Results

JEE Advanced 2020 – IIT Delhi has released the JEE Advanced result 2020 at jeeadv.ac.in on October 5. Candidates can now check the JEE advanced result using the roll number, date of birth, and phone number. Along with the result, IIT Delhi has also released the JEE Advanced final answer key on the official website. Earlier, the authorities released the JEE Advanced provisional answer key and candidate response sheets on September 29. Challenges in JEE Advanced answer key 2020 were open till October 1. JEE Advanced 2020 was conducted on September 27 for paper 1 and 2 at 1001 exam centres. The authorities released the JEE Advanced admit card 2020 on September 21 on the official website. JEE Advanced 2020 application form was available at jeeadv.ac.in till September 17. JEE Advanced witnessed presence of 96% students with 1,51,311 in paper 1 and 1,50,900 in paper 2. Counseling

JEE Advanced Counselling and Seat Allotment 2021 – Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be the responsible authority for the counselling and seat allotment of JEE Advanced 2021, which will be conducted as a centralized process. Qualified and eligible candidates will have to register and fill their choice of courses and colleges within the specified period.
