Overview

MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is a screening test conducted by AIMA for admission to MBA and other allied programmes. Hence, it is designed to ascertain the candidate’s aptitude to undergo a post-graduate programme in management. The exam is conducted in three modes,computer-based, paper-based and internet-based, where the internet-based test can be given from home by the aspirant. Paper comprises of five sections :

  2. Mathematical Skills
  3. Data Analysis and Sufficiency
  4. Intelligence and critical reasoning

MAT February 2021 Exam section-wise weightage

The five sections of the paper amount to a total of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Weightage of each section is shown in the table below.

MAT February 2021 Marking Scheme

Marking scheme of MAT 2021 exam is as follows:
 

Marks awarded for each correct answer 1 for each correct answer one mark is awarded.
Negative Marking Yes.
Marks deducted for each incorrect answer 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer.
Unattempted question No marks deducted.

MAT February 2021 Suggested Sectional Time Limit

Candidates must note that there is no sectional time limit in MAT exam. However, a suggested time limit for each section is given as follows:

MAT IBT Exam Pattern

  • Exam pattern for MAT IBT is same as the PBT and CBT modes.
  • In IBT mode candidates can appear in the exam from any convenient location over the internet.
  • However, candidates must ensure that they have a system which fulfils below requirements.
