CLAT 2020 applications and exams dates postponed due to coronavirus

As per the report of Consortium of National Law Universities, 24th May 2020 is the application date of the common law and its deadline is now extended to 25 April 2020.

As of near-global policy of social distancing, puts lots of budding lawyers into examination halls in current situations. The Consortium also agreed to extend the deadline of the application till 31 March 2020; as well as the dates of  10 May 2020. As per the statement of the VC, “We have decided to extend the date of application of [CLAT] submission forms.’’

The postponement is cause for the current circumstances where the lockdown will be approved until 14th April. It is also possible to organize the test on 10 May. It is extremely reasonable to push down the exam date while the Consortium stated that they are closely watching the situation and discussing all the developments.

CLAT 2020 holds lots of plans and reforms; but for the complication of the situation, they currently have their hands full with converting their classes to online tuition. It is the way to manage cohorts of students spread throughout the country.
