BSc Nursing is a four year or 8-semester programme. The choice-based credit system is applied to the programme. There are three types of courses – Core courses, Foundational courses and Elective courses.

Common themes of the program syllabus according to INC Guideline are discussed below briefly.
First semester
General Science, Communicative English, Applied Sociology and Applied Psychology, Applied anatomy and applied for physiology and Nursing Foundations course
Second semester
Applied Biochemistry, Nursing foundations including First Aid, Applied Nutrition and Dietetics. This semester also includes Introduction to Community Health Nursing- Health care Policy & Regulation and Environmental Science.
Third Semester
Pathology, Pharmacology, Applied Microbiology and Infection Control including Safety, Adult Health, Medical-Surgical Nursing with integrated pathophysiology. In this semester students also learn courses on Professionalism, Professional values & ethics including bioethics. Mandatory module this semester is BCLS.
Fourth Semester
Adult Health Nursing- Geriatric Nursing with integrated pathophysiology,Pharmacology, Pathology & Genetics. Also, this semester teaches about Educational Technology/ Nursing education. Mandatory Module in this semester is Health Assessment.
Fifth Semester
Health/Nursing Informatics & technology, Nursing Research and Statistics, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Nursing Management & Leadership. This semester also includes courses on Introduction to Forensic Nursing & Indian Laws. Mandatory Modules – PLS/PALS, IMNCI, Essential Newborn Care & FBNC.
Sixth semester
Community Health Nursing including epidemiology, Mental Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing Midwifery/ OBG Nursing. Mandatory Module of this semester is Standard treatment protocols which are used in national health programmes
Seventh semester
Community Health Nursing, Midwifery/OBG Nursing. Mandatory Module- Same as the sixth semester.
Eighth Semester
This is an internship semester with residential posting. The Mandatory Module of this semester is ACLS.
