The eligibility for B Tech Chemical Engineering Course is based on the quota and qualification of the student. Again, the process for admission varies from University to University. • Almost 3.4 percent is Contributed by chemical engineers to the global chemical industry.
• In May 2020 the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, DCPC ( the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals) invited applications and proposals for Setting up of Centres of Excellence in the field of Petrochemicals.
• In July 2018, the Toray Industries (India), which is a subsidiary of a major Japanese company named the Toray Industries had shown their intention to invest INR 1000 crore in order to set up a plant which shall manufacture chemicals which can be used as advanced raw materials in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
• In 2017, the Gail India Limited (GAIL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) along with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, have signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) to set up a greenfield, standalone petrochemical complex in the States of Andhra Pradesh; spreading at the land of 2000 acres of GMR’s Kakinada SEZ, and shall involve and an investment of more than $ 6.1 billion.
