Masters in Structural engineering is one of the programs under the Masters of technology. M.tech Structural engineering is a sub-discipline under M.tech Civil engineering. Structural engineering focuses on training students to design and shape bones and flesh of man made structures. Structural engineers’ job is to understand and bring the output of the structures to be formed. These outputs are calculated based on the stability of the structure, strength, rigidity of the structure, and earthquake resistance capability. It is then integrated with the other designers that include architects and building service engineers.Structural Engineers can also be part of mechanical structures and designing medical types of equipment. The theoretical knowledge of Structural engineering is based upon physical laws and empirical knowledge of different structures at different materials and geometries.

M.tech Structural engineering trains students to make creative, effective, and efficient use of funds for the structure, best material, and elements needed for that structure. It is a two-year post-graduation course which is divided into four semesters.     Admission Eligibility for M.tech Structural Engineering

    M.tech Structural engineering is a two-year post-graduation program. For getting admission into any post-graduation course, one should have completed their bachelor’s degree already. Masters in structure engineering comes under M.tech Civil Engineering. It will be easier and more familiar if one has earned a bachelor’s degree in the same field.

    • Minimum 50% or equivalent in High School and intermediate
    • In High School and intermediate, one should have PCM as main subjects
    • Bachelor’s degree in B.tech/ BE or any other discipline in Science.
