MD Kaya chikitsa course is a post-graduate level course in Ayurveda. This is an important branch of Ayurveda that deals with general medicine. The duration of this course is three years. You can get admission in this course after completing a BAMS degree that is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine. CCIM is also the main regulatory body for all Ayurveda courses. MD Kayachikitsa provides students with a specialty in Ayurvedic general medicine. They learn about general principles and concepts along with clinical methods related to Ayurveda and modern medical science. After this course, students should be well versed in Etiopathology, diagnosis, and management of diseases from the perspective of Ayurveda and modern perspective. Physical and psychological diseases like fever,rakta-pitta, Shotha, Prameha, etc are dealt under this branch. Specialty areas like Gerontology and immune modulation etc are covered under this branch of Ayurvedic medicine. To get admission to the MD Kaya chikitsa course in Ayurvedic medical colleges in India you will need to clear All India AYUSH Post graduation entrance test (AIAPGET)ref conducted by NTA.AIAPGET is the course conduction for admissions in PG Ayurveda and other AYUSH pg courses, once a year. AIAPGET-2024 is scheduled for 29th August 2024.
