In recent years Ayurveda has gained popularity due to its holistic system of medicine and wellness, hence many people take interest in PG Ayurveda courses. In Ayurveda, two kinds of PG programmes are offered in 22 specialities. MD Ayurveda which is Ayurveda Vachaspati and MS which is referred to as Ayurveda Dhanwantri.Duration of the degree course is of three years. To apply to MD MS in Ayurveda, one needs to have obtained an Ayurveda bachelor’s level degree.Moreover, AIAPGET exam is conducted by NTA for entrance in MD MS Ayurveda courses. Colleges and universities are required to get permission from Ayush dept. Govt of India. Supreme governing body for all ayurvedic courses is the central council for Indian Medicine (CCIM). In Karnataka, the course is offered under Rajiv Gandhi Univerity of Health Sciences, Banglore.

Eligibility for MD MS Ayurveda
There are two levels of eligibility that one needs to fulfil to get admission in the desired college for PG Ayurveda. One is the minimum qualification required to apply ie the entry-level eligibility and other is the eligibility for admission in a specific college. Entry-level eligibility for PG Ayurveda course is described in the table below. MD MS Ayurveda Syllabus
MD MS Ayurveda course duration is three years. Two examinations are conducted during the course one is a preliminary exam conducted at the end of one academic year after admission and other is a final examination conducted at the end of three academic years after admission.

MD MS Ayurveda Entrance Exam
For admissions in MD MS Ayurveda, National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts a national level entrance exam called All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET). In AIAPGET 2020 more than 17 thousand BAMS graduates registered for the examination. PG Ayurveda entrance exam 2021 date and application dates are:
