In recent years Ayurveda has gained popularity due to its holistic system of medicine and wellness, hence many people take interest in PG Ayurveda courses. In Ayurveda, two kinds of PG programmes are offered in 22 specialities. MD MS Ayurveda course duration is three years. Two examinations are conducted during the course one is a preliminary exam conducted at the end of one academic year after admission and other is a final examination conducted at the end of three academic years after admission.

For admissions in MD MS Ayurveda, National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts a national level entrance exam called All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET).
