BAMS Admission Eligibility 2022
Eligibility for Admission to BAMS course in Ayurvedic Medical Colleges of Karnataka under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore.
The duration of the BAMS undergraduate professional course is 5.5 years. Students will have 4 professional exams within a duration of 4.5 years and a compulsory rotating internship for 1 year. Ayurveda courses in Ayurvedic medical colleges in Karnataka states are regulated as per the rules and regulations of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science which is also known as RGUHS, Bangalore.

Eligibility criteria for BAMS Admission
Qualifying Examination:
Students must have passed class 12 examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English subjects with a minimum of 50 percent scores individually. The 12th board should be on the list of the Council of Boards of School Education in India. Students are advised to refer to the official website www.cobse.org to check the validity of the class 12th board.
SC/ST Category Candidate:
The minimum score required for SC, ST, and OBC category students is 40 percent in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
Important Note: 40% of scores in class 12th for SC, ST, and OBC category students are only valid for merit admission with NEET qualifying scores which is conducted by AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).
For Management quota admission in BAMS in Karnataka. All students (General, SC, ST, OBC) must score a minimum 50 percent score in class 12th as mentioned above.

Only those students who have qualified NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST [NEET UG 2022] conducted by NTA are eligible for BAMS admission either through Merit, Management, or NRI quota.
BAMS Admission Without NEET
- BAMS Admission is not possible without qualifying in NEET-UG 2022.
- Only those candidates who have scored minimum qualifying marks are eligible for admission (either management quota or merit quota counseling) in CCIM-approved Ayurvedic medical colleges in Karnataka and across India.

BAMS Admission Eligibility Through NEET 2022
Candidates are eligible for admission in BAMS and other AYUSH courses through the rank obtained in the NEET UG 2022. The counseling authority, Ayush Admission Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) shall conduct the counseling for 15% of All India Quota seats for Government, Government aided Central Universities, National Institutes, Private colleges, and 100% seats for Deemed Universities.
BAMS Merit Quota Admission In Karnataka
Only NEET-qualified candidates shall be eligible to apply for 15% of All India Quota seats in Ayurvedic medical colleges in Karnataka. Candidates will be invited for online choice filling after the declaration of NEET-UG 2022 results. Ayush Admission Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) shall conduct 2 rounds of counseling for all the colleges and one additional mockup round for Central University, Deemed University, and National Institutes.

BAMS Management Quota Direct Admission 2022
60 percent of the sanctioned BAMS seats in Ayurvedic medical colleges in Karnataka are offered under the Management quota. Only those students who are eligible for NEET UG 2022 exam are eligible for BAMS direct admission in Karnataka Ayurveda medical colleges.
