NEET 2020 to be postponed, JEE will be rescheduled due to Covid-19 lockdown

As per the latest update,  NEET UG 2020 which was scheduled for May 3 has been postponed to the last week of May. The admit card; which was scheduled to be issued on Friday, was postponed after April 15 after assessing the situation; as per the report of NTA.

As per the announcement of JEE authority, the JEE mains entrance exam will also be rescheduled as the lockdown will continue till 15th April.

NTA released a public notice on Friday evening regarding the NEET2020 exam postponed. It also stated that the exact date of the exam will be announced after assessing the environmental situation.

As per the statement of NTA director-general;

“NTA has postponed the ensuing NEET (UG) May 2020 examination scheduled to be held on May 3, 2020.”

NTA also advised students to keep visiting their official websites for further updates. Candidates also need to be individually informed through their registered mobile number.

CBSE, NIOS and CISCE Board postponed their exam till 21st March. As per the statement of a senior official, the new dates will be announced possibly after the lockdown period. Till then, the exact dates remain closed.

As per the report, NTA Possibly waited till school education boards and CBSE announced the new dates for the few of their exams which could not be conducted due to the Coronavirus outbreak. NTA and school boards were supposed to work earlier but now they have to wait till the lockdown period will come to an end.
