MAT 2022 Entrance Exam – Dates, Pattern, Syllabus, Colleges & More

MAT 2022 – MAT or Management Aptitude Test is a national-level management entrance exam which is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) every year for admission to MBA / PGDM courses. AIMA conducts the MAT exam in 4 phases – Feb, May, September, and Dec. Those candidates who qualify the management aptitude test are eligible for admission to more than 600 B-Schools accepting MAT scores.

MAT exam is conducted in Offline mode (i.e. PBT or Paper Based Test), online mode (CBT or Computer Based Test), and remote proctored (IBT or Internet Based Test). Candidates are entitled to opt for any mode as per their preference and interest. Only exam dates are different but fees, exam pattern and syllabus for all 3 modes are the same.

MAT 2022 Exam Dates – Latest Updates

AIMA has released the schedule for MAT exams for academic year 2022-2023. Below are the latest updates regarding MAT 2022 Exam Dates in PBT (Paper Based Test) and CBT (Computer Based Test) modes:-

MAT 2022 February Exam Dates

MAT 2022 exams will be conducted as per the following schedule in PBT and CBT modes:-

PBT Schedule:
Registration Deadline – 28 February 2022 (Monday)
Availability of Admit Card (for Download) – 02 March 2022 (1600 Hrs. / 4:00 PM)
PBT Exam will held on – 06 March 2022

CBT Schedule:
Registration Deadline – 07 March 2022 (Monday)
Availability of Admit Card (for Download) – 09-Mar-2022 (1600 Hrs. / 4:00 PM)
CBT Exam will held on – 13 March 2022

MAT February 2022 Exam Pattern

The entire paper is based on multiple-choice questions. A candidate has to select one right answer out of four given options.

Before the MAT exam, a candidate is required to ensure MAT exam pattern and get the complete idea of question papers. Below is the exam pattern for MAT 2022:-

  • The full question paper consists of 200 questions in 5 sections that are all centered on the fundamental subjects.
  • Candidates will be given 2 hours 30 min (i.e. 150 minutes) to finish the tests via online mode.
  • The language of the paper would be – English
  • There are four options for one question (MCQ), and you must choose one of them.
  • The applicant will receive one mark for each correct answer, and 1/4th (0.25) marks will be removed for each wrong answer.

MAT February 2022 Syllabus

The MAT exam syllabus is broken into five components, including –

  • Language Comprehension.
  • Mathematical Skills.
  • Data Analysis and Sufficiency.
  • Intelligence and Critical Reasoning.
  • Indian and Global Environment.

Each segment contains an equal number of questions, i.e. 40 questions, for a total of 120 questions and a time restriction of 150 minutes.

Eligibility Criteria for MAT 2022 Exam

To appear in the MAT exam, an aspirant must fulfill the following eligibility criteria –

1. Graduation in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university.

2. Students who are in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply for MAT exam

3. The MAT test is also open to candidates who have completed professional degrees such as CA, CS, and ICWA

MAT February 2022 Application Form

Application forms are filled out online. For the MAT 2021 application, candidates must pay INR 1,650 in exam fees for one IBT, one CBT or one PBT and INR 2,750 for two IBT exams on the AIMA MAT official website.

  • Admit Card release date for PBT mode: 03 Mar 2021 (1600 Hrs)
  • Admit Card release date for CBT mode: 16 Feb 2021 (1600 Hrs)

MAT 2022 Registration Process

The registration process for MAT exam is done via online only and can be fulfilled in five simple steps:

Step-1: Visit AIMA Official website here – https://mat.aima.in/feb22/ and click on “Register”.

Step 2: After registration, click on “Login”.

Step 3: Open Registration Form and fill it by giving your personal details.

Step 4: Upload Images

Step 5: Make the Payment of Registration Fee & Submit.

Step 6: After Payment, you can View “Registration summary”.

Step 7: Download filled Registration form (which is in PDF) for future reference.

MAT February 2022 Admit Card

Admit cards for MAT exam 2022 will be available from 24 February, 2022 based on the preference of your exam mode you have given at the time of registration process. Registered candidates can visit the official website of AIMA-MAT to download their admit card or hall ticket.

1. Visit – mat.aima.in

2. Click on tab – “Download”

3. Choose “admit card” from the list

4. Enter your Email ID and Password and DOB (which you have used at the time of registration).

5. The MAT Admit card will appear. Take print

MAT Results 2022

As candidates prepare for the MAT Exam 2022 and attempt the test, they wait for the most awaited moment of their lives which is none other than the announcement of the MAT Results 2022. Results information is made public on the AIMA website.

Perhaps, the Result will be announced in the 4th week of May 2022.
