XAT is an online mode test. It comprises of 100 multiple choice type questions. Candidates are given 180 minutes in total to solve these questions. There is no sectional time limit. However, candidates are advised to divide their time judiciously as sectional cutoff is applicable. Also, the question paper is divided into two time-bound parts. Part 1 has Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation. It must be completed in 165 minutes. Part 2 will have the General Knowledge section which is to be completed in 15 minutes. Candidates should also note that there is negative marking in XAT. For each correct answer, the candidate gets 1 mark, while for each incorrect attempt 0.25 marks are deducted from the score.
