KEA – Karnataka Examination Authorities have released the Karnataka NEET 2021 counselling notification on 10 December 2021. Qualified candidates can now apply and register for the admission process for MBBS, BDS and AYUSH courses.
National Medical Commission’s (NMCs) data shows that as many as 9,495 MBBS and 3,445 BDS seats will be filled through the Karnataka NEET 2021 counselling process.

Karnataka NEET 2021 counselling application date has been extended by KEA. As per the KEA’s latest notification, the revised deadline for to submit Karanataka NEET counselling online applications and fee is extended till December 22 till 5 pm. The application deadline for Karnataka MBBS/BDS admission 2021 was originally set on December 17. On December 13, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), the recognised authority to conduct Karnataka NEET counselling 2021, began accepting applications. Candidates who meet the minimum cutoff marks in NEET 2021 will be able to fill out an application form on the official website, kea.kar.nic.in. On this page, you will get a direct link to apply for Karnataka NEET counselling for MBBS and BDS admission in 2021. Candidates can register for the counselling procedure by completing the instructions outlined below.
The Karnataka Education Authority (KEA) will conduct online counselling for admission to different MBBS and BDS programmes at government and private medical schools across the state. The KEA’s responsibilities are limited to administering Karnataka NEET 2021 centralised counselling, which includes online registration, document verification, counselling, allotment of seats, and to issue the admission orders. On December 13, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) issued the Karnataka NEET 2021 counselling calendar, which includes schedules for key events associated to admission to professional degrees.

There are two rounds of Karnataka NEET counselling in 2021, as well as a mop-up round if any seats remain unfilled after the 2nd round. Karnataka NEET 2021 counselling will be conducted by KEA for 85 percent state quota seats and 100 percent private college seats. Karnataka NEET counselling will be held in 2021 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15% All India Quota seats. Admission to 9,345 MBBS and 3,445 BDS seats available in medical institutions across the Karnataka state will be confirmed through counselling.

Eligibility Criteria For Karnataka NEET Counselling 2021
Candidates interested to participate in Karnataka NEET counselling 2021 must fulfill eligibility requirements as per the norms of Karnataka Examination Authorities (KEA).
General Eligibility:
- Candidates must be a citizen of India
- Must have qualified in NEET 2021
UG NEET 2021 qualified candidates are allowed to participate in the allotment of Medical / Dental seats as per the eligibility & reservation criteria for the respective types of seats which is explained in the below section.
These seats are classified into four categories:
- G –Government Seats
- P-Private Seats
- N-NRI Seats
- Q-Others Seats
Eligibility for Government Seats
Government seats means and includes 100% seats in Government colleges and the Government share of seats in Private colleges. (40% Seats in MBBS and 35% seats in BDS course in Private Non-Minority colleges, 25% in both medical & dental Private Minority (Religious & Linguistic) colleges).
These shares of Govt. seats are reserved for the candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria in accordance with the Karnataka Selection of Candidates as notified in the information bulletin of UG NEET uploaded by KEA (Refer Page 20-29).
The candidates who do not satisfy any of the Clauses / Eligibility Criteria detailed below and the candidates who do not produce the prescribed documents in original will not be eligible for admission to professional courses under Government quota seats.

Eligibility for Private Seats
(GMP, OPN &MK, MA, ME, MU, MC, MM seats)
- Candidate should fulfill academic eligibility criteria and should be qualified in the UG NEET 2021 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).
- Karnataka Candidates and those who are claiming eligibility for Government seats under clauses (a), (b), (f), (h), (j), (k), (l), and (o) as mentioned in KEA UG NEET 2021 information bulletin are only eligible for GMP seats.
- Candidate should fulfill the eligibility criteria to claim seats under Religious Minority, Linguistic Minority.
Karnataka NEET Counselling 2021 Process
Counselling process of Registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting will be conducted in four rounds in Karnataka NEET counselling for MBBS and BDS course admissions. For those applying for MBBS admission in Karnataka through NEET 2021 counselling, should note that all 4 steps are equally important. Each of these steps are described in detail below:
Registration
A candidate must register on the KEA’s official website in order to participate in Karnataka NEET 2021 counselling. To register, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Select ‘UGET-2021 online registration’ Tab in after opening the official website. Enter all details such as the name of the candidate, contact address details, category, PwD status, educational qualification details, date of birth, etc. After completion of entry of all the details, you will receive an application ID and Password to your registered mobile phone number and to email address.
Step 2: Upload a scanned copy of your recent passport-sized photograph, thumb impression (left hand), and signature in JPG or JPEG format separately.
Step 3: Pay the registration fee online using a credit card / debit card or net banking.

List of Registered Candidates:
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will issue a list of all applicants who have enrolled for Karnataka NEET 2021 counselling. All candidates must complete the verification procedure in order to continue for the NEET counselling process.
Verification of documents:
The candidates’ documents will be verified in the order in which they have received the NEET rank. Therefore, all applicants should validate the rank range, date, and time of verification before reporting to the centre for verification. Candidates must bring all original certificates as well as a self-attested copy.
Candidates must re-register and give all required information at the verification centre. All original papers will be checked by officials at the verification counter, and self-attested copies will be preserved. Candidates who successfully complete the verification procedure will be given an acknowledgement slip.

- Parent’s certificate / hometown certificate / domicile certificate / employment certificate / cumulative record (if applicable)
Secret Key and Choice Filling
In addition to the recognition slip, qualifying candidates will get a secret key. This key is required to fill out the options on the ‘Option-entry portal.’ Candidates are urged to keep the secret key to themselves at all times and to ensure confidentiality.
There is no restriction on the number of option entry in Karnataka NEET counselling 2021. Options recorded on the final day of the announced schedule will be frozen and considered for seat allocation. Candidates should keep in mind that this is a one-time process only. If you have entered the options of the colleges in the first round, then you will not be permitted to enter the options again in the second round. However, you can change the preferences to the higher order.
Seat Allotment List
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will publish a list of applicants who have been allotted a medical or dental seat through the Karnataka NEET 2021 counselling. These seat allotment lists will be generated based on a candidate’s merit and the option entry choices filled out by him/her.
Post-allotment Process
If the candidates have been allotted a seat in the Karnataka NEET 2021 counselling 2021 and he/she prefer to keep the same seat, they candidate must confirm their choice on the KEA’s official website. He or she must pay the fees and report to the medical college with the admission order to finish the admission process.
