MAT 2021 Cutoff

A cut off score is the minimum percentile score required to be shortlisted for further admission process. As the MAT counselling process is not centralised, AIMA does not conduct any counselling itself and thus does not fix any cutoff. Instead, the participating colleges conduct counselling process individually. Usually, the MAT cut off is above 90 percentile overall. However, some students also consider sectional cutoff for admissions. MAT Cutoff 2021, as discussed, is determined by colleges individually. This cutoff is the minimum percentile required to take part in the further counselling process. Many factors determine the cutoff score fixed by colleges some of them are:
 

• The number of students appearing in MAT that year.
• The number of seats available.
• Question paper difficulty level.
• College Ranking.

Admission Process of MAT generally takes place as follows. However, the exact process may differ from college to college :
 

• Students are asked to fill their choice of colleges in the MAT application form.
• After result declaration colleges invite those students who meet cut off criteria, for further admission process.
• Colleges may also conduct Group Discussions (GD), Personal Interview (PI) or written ability tests (WAT).
• Scores in MAT, previous academic performance, work experience and performance in GD, PI etc are all taken into account for shortlisting of candidates for final admission.
