Key Changes in Popular MBA Entrance Exams for 2025
Several leading MBA entrance exams in India have done significant changes for the 2025 admission session. These adjustments aim to better align with the evolving needs of management education and cater to the preferences of today’s MBA aspirants.
XAT 2025
Elimination of Essay Writing: The descriptive essay writing component has been removed from XAT 2025 to streamline the exam and focus on core management competencies.
Reduced Duration: The overall exam duration has been shortened by 30 minutes, now XAT 2025 duration will be 3 hours.
NMAT 2024
Shorter Testing Window: The testing window for NMAT has been reduced from 75 days to 45 days, aiming to create a more focused and efficient exam experience.
Single Testing Mode: NMAT 2024 will be conducted exclusively as a computer-based online test at designated exam centers, discontinuing the at-home proctored testing option.
CAT 2024
Shorter Exam Format: The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are expected to maintain the reduced number of questions (66) and shorter duration (2 hours) introduced in previous years.
