AIAPGET 2020 – Counselling, admit card, exam date, syllabus, pattern

AIAPGET or All India Postgraduate entrance exam is an all India level exam conducted for Post graduate-level admissions in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy courses. MD/ MS Ayurveda courses, as well as PG diploma course admissions 2020 in Ayurveda, will also be done on the basis of AIAPGET exam.AIAPGET is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) once every year. It is conducted for admissions in Postgraduate courses (degree and diploma) in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy courses. AIAPGET exam is conducted in the Computer-based Test mode. For 2020 AIAPGET entrance has been scheduled on 28th September. The exam will commence at 10 AM and complete at noon. Admit cards will be released 15 days before the date of exam.

AIAPGET 2020 Latest Updates

On August 21st NTA released a public notice dated 20.08.2020 announcing the postponement of AIAPGET 2020. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be held on 29th August. However according to the new notice now the exam will be held on 28th September 2020.

22 August 2020: Correction window for AIAPGET 2020 opened till 26 August.

21 August 2020: Postponement notice for AIAPGET 2020 exam dated 20.08.2020 has been released. The exam has now been rescheduled for 28th September 2020.

18 August 2020: Admit Card for AIAPGET 2020 will be released 15 days before the exam. (Tentative dates)

Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for AIAPGET 2020 exam according to the Information bulletin provided on the official website of AIAPGET exam is as follows :
  • Candidates must possess BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS/Graded BHMS degree, or
  • Proviosnal BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS Pass certificate recognised as per provisions of IMCC 1970/HCC 1973 Act &
  • Candidates have a permanent or provisional registration certificate of BAMS/ BSMS/BUMS/ BHMS or Graded BHMS degree (as applicable) qualification. This certificate must be issued by CCIM/CCH/State Board/ Universities or Deemed Universities
  • Candidates must have completed a 1-year internship or are likely to complete the internship within the specified date. For AIAPGET 2020 exam cutoff date for completing the internship is 30th September 2020.
  • Upper age limit – No upper age limit has been specified for AIAPGET 2020 exam.
  • The maximum number of attempts has also not been specified by NTA.

Admission Process

A standard application process is followed for admissions to PG AYUSH courses through AIAPGET exam. Below is a brief outline of the same.

1. Candidates who desire to appear in AIAPGET exam are required to register for it on the official website first and then fill the application form.
2. While filling form keep in mind to choose the discipline ( Ayurveda/Unani/Siddha/Homeopathy) in which you want to appear, carefully.
3. Pay fees. The fee is non- refundable.
4. Appear in the AIAPGET exam. The AIAPGET exam is conducted only in the Computer Based Test mode.
5. Results will be announced. Separate lists are released for Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.
6. Those who have qualified the exam will be eligible to participate in AIAPGET 2020 counselling.
7. To participate in the counselling candidates must register on MCC portal and fill a separate application.
8. MCC will release a seat allotment list based on the merit of registered candidates.
9. Selected candidates will then have to report to the allocated institute with required documents for admission confirmation.
