MD Kayachikitsa (Medicine)

MD Kaya chikitsa course is a post-graduate level course in Ayurveda. This is an important branch of Ayurveda that deals with general medicine. The duration of this course is three years. You can get admission in this course after completing a BAMS degree that is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine. CCIM is also the main regulatory body for all Ayurveda courses. It functions under the AYUSH ministry. In Karnataka, the MD Kaya chikitsa course is run under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

 

Admission to this course is done through an All India level exam called AIAPGET which is conducted by the National Testing Agency.
